Biology Research Expert

Role

Labela is recruiting phd and postdoctoral researchers in biology to contribute to AI training and evaluation projects. Contributors review, write, and assess AI-generated scientific content in the biological sciences, drawing on their research and laboratory expertise to identify errors, ambiguity, or gaps in reasoning.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program or PhD in Biology or a closely related field (e.g., molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, microbiology)
• At least 2 peer-reviewed publications in reputable scientific journals
• Hands-on laboratory experience, including experimental design, execution, and data analysis
• Familiarity with standard research techniques in your area (e.g., PCR, cell culture, microscopy, sequencing, protein assays)
• Ability to critically evaluate scientific literature and methodology
• Comfortable working independently on a computer-based platform

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model outputs for scientific accuracy in biology-related tasks
• Write or revise research scenarios, experimental reasoning, and methodological rationale
• Provide structured feedback on model errors or omissions
• Complete calibration exercises to establish scoring consistency across contributors
