Laboratory Manager – High Voltage Testing 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

Overview In this role you lead the MICAFIL laboratories in Zurich, driving safe, high‑quality HV testing across AC, DC, impulse and partial discharge. You shape process improvements, build a capable team, and align laboratory activities with global market growth. You will partner with planning, QA, logistics and process engineering to elevate productivity and safety, while upholding IEC/IEEE standards. Verantwortungsbereiche Lead the laboratory team (15 FTE) and serve as HV testing point of contact Ensure safety and quality compliance with IEC/IEEE standards Analyze and implement efficient production and business processes to enhance safety, quality and productivity Maintain high output through reliable HV testing procedures (AC, DC, impulse, partial discharge) Identify and integrate new technologies and best practices to drive CIP with Process Engineering Collaborate with planning, QA, logistics and other production departments for holistic process design Develop and monitor key work instructions and relevant regulations (ISO, Lean, Six Sigma) Develop and monitor KPIs and report to operations manager Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations as People Manager Zentrale Anforderungen Technical apprenticeship and qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Several years of leadership experience in High-Voltage Testing/Insulation Technology/Power Engineering Solid knowledge of high-voltage systems, generators, and automation Solid knowledge of lean management, Six Sigma and other process optimization methods Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision making with safety focus Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills Fluent in German and English leadership cross-functional collaboration communication high-voltage testing (AC/DC/impulse/partial discharge) IEC/IEEE compliance Lean and Six Sigma
