This role requires attention to detail, adherence to engineering specifications, and a commitment to safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.What do we want to know about you?Required Qualifications:Certified apprenticeship applicable to the requested work.5 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial laborAbility to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specificationsExperience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devicesDesired Characteristics:Strong attention to detail and quality workmanshipAbility to follow instructions and work independently and as part of a teamMechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsPhysical ability to lift and perform repetitive tasksDependable with a strong work ethicWhat will your typical day look like?Refractory Work Mix and prepare refractory materials per specifications and safety guidelinesSet up molds and pour material to ensure proper distribution and structural integrityMonitor curing and ensure proper handling to maintain product integrityInspect for defectsClean and maintain molds and related equipmentAssembly Assemble combustion system components in accordance with engineering drawings and work instructionsUse hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure partsVerify dimensions and tolerances meet required specificationsFinishing & Painting Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, masking as required)Apply coatings and paint per engineering and customer specificationsEnsure proper curing and finish quality standards are metShipping & Packaging Prepare finished products for shipment, including weighing, crating, labeling, and documentationVerify order completeness and prepare required documentationBuild crates to shipping specificationsOperate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) as neededCoordinate with logistics to ensure timely and accurate deliveryQuality & Safety Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPEPerform in process and final quality checksReport quality defects, safety concerns, and equipment issuesMaintain a clean and organized work areaWork EnvironmentIndustrial manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, dust, and noiseUse of personal protective equipment (PPE) requiredStanding, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shiftAdditional InformationWhat could you accomplish in a place that puts People First?At Wabtec, it’s not just about a job - it’s about the impact you make.
