Anzeige auf Englisch
Achieving climate neutrality within the next 20 years necessitates an innovation boost for the development of highly efficient, scalable, low-cost, and sustainably produced energy technologies. Polymer materials play a central role in this process. HIPOLE deeply integrates and expands world-class expertise in polymer chemistry, materials science, high-throughput experimentation and artificial intelligence with complementary expertise in inorganic/hybrid materials, scalable devices, and advanced characterization.
We are looking for a Postdoc (m/f/d) for automated polymer research for our location in Jena. You will have the opportunity to support the young institute with your ideas and expertise right from the start and will work with researchers from all over the world to contribute to the development of a climate-friendly future. The position is assigned to Prof. Dr. Ulrich S. Schubert’s department and with the following thematic focus:
- Material design and synthesis using high-throughput experimentation
- Synthesis of polymers and materials using automated / robotic synthesis platforms for applications in energy storage and conversion devices.
- Establishment of online and inline characterization of materials and polymers in terms of chemical structure (e.g., NMR, IR, SEC) and functional properties (e.g., cyclovoltammetry).
- Development of feedback-driven synthesis including the design of self-driving labs for the autonomous design of new polymers and materials for energy storage and conversion.
- Summary, presentation, and publication of the results (in English).
Your Profile
- PhD in polymer chemistry, automated chemistry, robot-assisted chemistry, electrochemistry, or a related field
- Extensive experience in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and/or robot-based/automated chemistry
