The Semiconductor Laboratory (HLL) of the Max Planck Society , located on the research campus in Garching near Munich, is a leading facility for the development of highly precise radiation sensors and detector systems.

On approximately 1,400 m² of cleanroom space , HLL develops, fabricates and tests advanced semiconductor detectors for applications in X-ray astronomy, particle physics and materials research .

With around 50 employees from different nationalities , HLL provides a highly international and interdisciplinary environment in which scientists, engineers and technology specialists work closely together across the entire development chain — from fundamental research and simulation to device design, fabrication and experimental characterization.

To strengthen our activities in quantum sensing and advanced quantum-device technologies , and to provide scientific and technological support to our research, engineering and service teams, we are looking for a Scientist – Quantum Sensors
